Marshall keeps Yankees dream alive after contract call
Brett Marshall, a Sterling graduate from Ross S. Sterling, heard the Yankees purchased his contract after being among six minor leaguers protected. He celebrated in class at Lee College and eyed a future in the majors, likely starting with the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. He posted a 13-7 record in 2012 with 120 strikeouts across 158 1/3 innings and added a curveball to his repertoire.
