La Porte Kiwanis members viewed a future electricity film by Art Corning showing an electric kitchen with pushbutton controls. The dinner meeting at Barris restaurant included plans to grow membership, monthly church attendance, and sick-pay benefit adjustments. Crash Victims Still In Critical State Houston Family In Plunge

A Houston mother Sally Dominy 35 and her two year old Judy remain in critical condition at San Jacinto Memorial Hospital after a two car crash on Highway 146 near La Porte Monday night. Sally’s husband Henry Dominy and his brother Clyde Dominy were killed in the collision. Also injured were Mary Alford 27 of La Porte and Russell Cambra 31 of Kamah in fair condition. Double graveside services were planned for Henry and Clyde Dominy at Ivy Cemetery Kennard. The Art Simpson Funeral Home of La Porte is handling arrangements. Police cited uncertainty over who drove Cambra’s car which was on the wrong side of the road.
