Texas lawmakers push broader Taser rules for police
Legislators consider bills to restrict police Taser use and require training and reporting. Rep Lon Burnam and Rep Trey Martinez Fischer propose limits on who may carry Tasers, when they may be used, and mandatory medical checks after shocks. Harris County officials argue Tasers reduce injuries and should remain in use, with departments recording deployments and demographics.

Wooster Schoolhouse Ties To Baytown History In Texas
Wooster moved from Iowa to what would become Baytown in 1891. Junius Brown joined later and together they planned a school that became the community center. The Woodster Schoolhouse was moved in 1937 behind David G Burnet Elementary and later used as a cafeteria and music room. An advisory committee guides renovations after the December 2006 donation, with no changes until the May tour season ends.
