Growing Up More Goal Journey Than A Result
HAL BOYLE argues adulthood is a lifelong journey not a final achievement. The piece explores the child within, the gap between generations, and the pains of growing up as rules, disappointments, and tempered dreams shape our emotional core.

Cuts In British Tariffs May Add To Gold Drain
Brussels AP reports that Britain’s tariff cut plans aim to ease its economy but may worsen the U S gold and dollar outflow. The proposal, led by West Germany with France, envisions a tariff lowered trade area among six Common Market members, yet bars US and rest of world imports. Britain would buy more continental food, especially from France, and Britain’s ties to the English speaking world could weaken depending on US reaction and GATT outcomes.
