Labyrinth opera on NBC dazzles yet puzzles viewers
New York AP report notes Menotti's operatic riddle Labyrinth aired Sunday on NBC. It presented surreal dream imagery with a bride and groom in a hotel corridor and a detective-like hunt for a key. The production impressed with music but left some viewers uneasy about coherence. NBC plans include Joey Bishop staying in, Paar and Como reshuffles, and a possible Merv Griffin hour while Lucy Show airs CBS at 8:30. Lucie Arnaz debuts on Mother's program as Lucy’s TV daughter friend.
