Holocaust survivor Verveer shares the cost of hiding Jews
In a Cedar Bayou classroom Verveer recounts hiding a Jewish child and family in World War II Netherlands. She details family separations, arrests, and her own concentration camp experiences at Westerbork and beyond, while condemning Allied inaction and Nazi brutality. Her father was executed for aiding the Dutch resistance, yet the family survived and was later reunited.
