Wrecker driver charged with manslaughter in Baytown case
Glen Smith, 34, the tow truck driver, faces a manslaughter charge after 53-year-old Cathy Deemer was dragged a short distance by a vehicle at Lazy Acres Park in Baytown. Deemer died later at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital. Smith fled the scene but was later located and detained without bond. The case was presented to a Grand Jury and resulted in the charge. His first court appearance is pending.
