Former Weingarten Manager Here Dies
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Eachman Funeral Home Chapel for Ross Vernon DeGree, 63, of 110 West Gulf, who died Tuesday in a Baytown hospital. DeGree managed Weingarten's Baytown store 18 years until 1963, then moved to Pasadena where he was still with Weingarten's. He lived in Baytown 38 years, was a Goose Creek Mason and pastor of First Presbyterian, with Masonic graveside rites at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Survived by wife Norma. daughters Mrs. W. J. Crump of Houston, Mrs. Carl Dyer of Baytown, Mrs. Kermit Fonting of Port Arthur. two grandchildren Rhonda Dunn and Sonyc Crump.
