Librarian Pillories Book Vandalism Exhibit At Taylor University
An exhibit at Taylor University library showcases reactions to vandalized books. Signs warn theft harms readers, with quotes about damaged pages and “back breaking” methods. The display, arranged by librarian W. J. Williamson, features underlined margins and marginalia as examples of disrespectful library behavior. A Grand Rapids police report ends with a separate note about a furniture theft sting involving two men and a trunk.
