The couple, Mr and Mrs Rogers, were missing and later identified. authorities described the scene with bodies cut into small pieces and heads placed in sacks. The son Charles Rogers, 43, was missing and sought by police. The investigation followed a warning by a missing persons division worker and involved officers entering the home through a fence.
The Texas Supreme Court ruled that Texas insurance policies cover wind damage but not water damage in hurricane events. Mrs Glen Mary Gibbs Cunningham of Burnetville died at 3 25 am Thursday at a town hospital. Funeral arrangements are by Paul A. Lee Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband C Cunningham of Banson and her mother Mrs H Gibbs of Corpus Christi.

Robert L. Nichols, state president of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers, will speak at a Baytown Chapter TSPE dinner Friday at the Tower. Nichols, a Fort Worth consulting engineer with Freese Nichols and Endress, is a Texas A&M civil engineering graduate and longtime engineer leader active in water, public works, and engineering associations. He and his wife Frances have four children and he is active in the Methodist church. New officers of the Baytown Chapter will be installed Friday night.
