Baytown coach overcomes cancer to inspire players
Caver McClellan, Baytown Christian Academy special teams coach and 2018 squamous cell carcinoma survivor, credits coaching with keeping him focused during treatment at Houston Methodist Baytown Cancer Center under Dr. Mary Goswitz and Dr. Cesar De Las Casas. He completed therapy last December, remains cancer-free but faces swallowing difficulties. He will speak at the Cancer Survivors Celebration on June 26 at 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the hospital conference center.
