Regents form search committee for Lee College president
Lee College regents discussed the presidential search process at a Thursday meeting. Regent Keith Coburn, chair of the search committee, outlined past methods and steps for the current selection. Dr. Michael Murphy will not seek renewal after 2012, and Gold Hill Associates’ Dr. Bob Barringer is tentatively scheduled to visit July 18, with a regents' vote on July 21 to finalize the candidate profile for public posting.

Baytown Council considers final zoning change tonight
The Baytown City Council will vote on final rezoning between Highway 146 and Cedar Bayou south of FM 565 to industrial use with a commercial strip along Highway 146. The area already hosts a wastewater treatment plant and a cement plant. The meeting at City Hall begins 6:30 p.m. and covers voluntary annexation input, engineering services for the street bond program, and closing out FY2010 contracts.
