Old River Winfree Council Eyes Annexation and Name Change
Old River Winfree City Council members back growth by annexing land toward Liberty County and consider dropping Winfree from the name. Mayor Joe Landry says more residents would boost water and sewer work. Some councilors support a pool, others fear liability and cost, while no timetable is set for discussions. Community input is planned before any decision.
