RSS Seeks New Head Coach for Ross S. Sterling Boys Varsity
Goose Creek ISD athletic director Tom Ed Gooden says multiple candidates remain for the Ross S. Sterling boys basketball job after Mark Patton resigned to coach at Aldine Eisenhower. Patton had speculated Dave Lay might apply, but no resume was received from Lay. Also, Rene Cosby has not yet been replaced as girls soccer coach. The La Porte Bulldogs earned a 7 on 7 state berth by finishing top two at Ft. Bend qualifier, joining other Houston area qualifiers for the July 2021 Texas A&M state tourney.
