Mayor presses ahead on long stalled drainage project
The mayor said a 40 year dream includes a concrete lined drainage system between Lantern Park and Quail Hollow. Flood Control will form a citizen committee to stay in the loop on design and permits, with a nine to twelve month Corps permit timeline and city lobbying for funding. Residents pressed road repairs from a 2001 Street Recovery Bond and officials outlined priorities, including mill and overlay on Dambiia and Kilgore streets and a full remodel of 11th Street.
