Public Works Director C W Grantham says the city can maintain ample supply via eight wells and six storage tanks totaling over 3.08 million gallons. Three new storage tanks built by Pittsburgh Des Moines Steel Co increase capacity to meet a day’s demand without wells, though not expected to be needed.
