A Baytown woman visited the police station Tuesday night seeking to see her husband in jail. Officers denied the request citing visiting hours, she became violent and hurled abusive language then swung at several officers. She was jailed on charges of abusive language.

Minor Flooding Reported In Baytown Thunderstorms
Heavy thundershowers drenched Baytown with up to 4.1 inches, slowing traffic and cutting electric service in places. Streets opened by 10 a.m. and only minor flooding remained as ditches clogged and yards turned to small lakes. Rain gauges showed 3.1 inches from 3 to 9 a.m. with lower totals elsewhere. Weather officials forecast two more days of cloudy, rainy weather with an 80 percent chance of showers.
