Death sentence tossed for former San Antonio youth pastor
The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals threw out the death sentence of Adrian Estrada, 26, who was condemned three years ago for murdering his teenage girlfriend 17 year old Stephanie Sanchez and her unborn child. The court upheld the conviction but ordered a new punishment trial after finding jurors were given incorrect information about prison restrictions on capital murder convicts who receive life without parole rather than a death sentence.
