Anahuac voters see change as Council appoints Theodore Ricks to sign proclamation while Guy R. Jackson becomes mayor pro tem and Bruce Comer resigns from mayoral post. Jackson, a longtime council member, vows inclusive leadership and public consensus as Charles Hightower takes mayor pro tem duties. Comer will assume fire marshal duties.
