Fireman Clemmer to file suit after suspension upheld

Baytown Civil Service Commission upheld Capt Cedhl Clemmer s indefinite suspension after a heated hearing that lasted about six hours with eight witnesses. Clemmer said he would file suit in district court to overturn the decision. He claimed he gave his son 15 licks for allegedly stealing a neighbor s gun, a punishment his wife said she did not approve of, and both described him as a devoted firefighter.

Baytown officer earns law degree while on the force
