Humble, the nation’s largest oil firm, extends Esso branded service stations across Mississippi as it broadens Southeast operations. Nicky Jo Huestis, 20, Southwestern University sophomore from Taft Texas, named the first Texas representative in the Peace Corps trainee program. He will report to Rutgers University for training between June 25 and July 10, then may go to Colombia or wait for another assignment. He cites construction and health sanitation experience and Spanish knowledge as key factors in selection. Huestis grew up near Corpus Christi and plans to pursue psychology after college. he is active in church work and led his high school class as president.
