Sunday Student Day Planned at United Methodist Church
United Methodist Student Day will be observed Sunday at 11 a.m. at St John’s Methodist Church with college youth participating in leadership. Rev. William J. Commer will preach at 11 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. services. Vacation Bible School children will attend the early service. A 7 p.m. night service follows, with a reception after to honor the reassigned minister and family.

St Mark's Methodist Introduces Womack as Associate Pastor
The Rev. Ron E. Womack, newly named associate pastor of St. Mark's Methodist, will be introduced at 10 45 a.m. services by EB H Lovering. Womack, a 1961 Texas High School Texarkana graduate, holds a BS in Aero Space Engineering from UT 1963 and an M Div from Asbury 1968. He and Billie Gwen Yocom of Texarkana have a two year old. The morning will feature his sermon Looking at the Lord with special music by the Chancel Choir directed by Bruce Day and David Day on saxophone. Church School is at 9 45 a.m. Youth Choir meets 4 45 p.m. and Methodist Youth Fellowship at 5 30 p.m. Evening services at 11 p.m. Also, Junior High youth outing, Finance Committee and Administrative Board meetings, and Mothers' Day Out program are listed for the week.
