Baytown to get new statue of Texas legend at mall

City officials plan a new statue connected to 4A Hunt Road as part of the San Jacinto Mall redevelopment area. The project aims to ease traffic and support growth near Garth Road. David Adickes, creator of the 89 foot Sam Houston sculpture beside I 45 in Huntsville, is commissioned for the Baytown statue.
