Eagles volleyball coach John Leonard resigns after 13 years
John Leonard stepped down Friday from Barbers Hill High School after 13 years guiding the Eagles volleyball program. He will join Kinkaid School in Houston as an assistant coach, citing family and classroom considerations. Leonard notes his daughter Leah’s graduation and wishing to spend more time with his 84-year-old father influenced the move, after a storied Mont Belvieu tenure that included a 2004 state finals trip.
