Baytown woman Phama Bowers celebrates 100th birthday
Local resident Phama Lee Bowers marked her 100th birthday on June 6 at Jacinto City Health Care Center with family and friends. A pre party featured Caney Creek Revelers led by her grandson Chuck Chandler. Born in San Angelo and raised in Lufkin, she married Mike Bowers in 1928 and moved to Baytown, surviving two world wars, the Great Depression, moon missions, and a life of service, cooking, and family tradition.
