Texas Governor's Mansion restoration to move forward after arson
Investigators have no suspects in the 2008 arson that gutted the 153 year old Texas Governor's Mansion. The state has about 26 million dollars from private donations and the Legislature for the rebuild. Officials plan to post an appeal for proposals for an architect to design a 24 to 30 month reconstruction, with repairs on walls and a copper roof.

The U S Geological Survey reports a 2.3 magnitude earthquake near Cleburne Texas at 8 02 a m Monday after a thunder clap alarmed residents. City spokesman Charlie Hodges says a two second rumble followed the sound with no damage or injuries. A 2.6 magnitude quake occurred near Cleburne the prior day and a 2.8 magnitude quake hit last Tuesday.
