Reverend Kennedy to Retire from Baytown Parish
Monsignor Denis Kennedy of St Josephs Baytown plans retirement on June 17 after serving as resident pastor since 1930. Born in Dingie Ireland he studied in Carlow Trelang and served in World War I before arriving in the United States for priestly formation at St Marys Seminary in La Porte. He will move to St Anthonys Houston convalescent home for retired priests. Monsignor Joseph P O Sullivan will succeed him from Sacred Heart Galveston.

Funeral services planned for 2 pm Sunday at Trinity Tabernacle for M. L. Pace 3%, longtime Baytown resident and former owner of Pace's Restaurant on Commerce Street. He died Friday at 7:35 pm. born December 11, 1915, in Hattiesburg Mississippi. Survived by wife Mary Pace, one son Bert Pace, five daughters, two sisters and several Baytown relatives. Interment Memory Gardens under Earthman Funeral Home.
