Elsie Weatherly Brumley 86 of Old River Texas died at home on May 29 2015. Graveside services are set for June 6 2015 at Palms Memorial Park Cemetery in Dayton with visitation at Pace Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. She owned an accounting and tax service and taught in church programs. Survived by daughter Tamatha Brumley Nashville sister Alexandria Ruby and many relatives. On Monday morning 23-year-old Curtis Rowe was arrested after an officer responded to a suspicious person call. Rowe, found sleeping in a silver Saturn with alcohol odor, woke and reached for a box cutter, then wrestled with the officer as the Taser was deployed. A second officer arrived to help cuff him.
A 25 year old Clear Lake man Mathew Kellog-Frye was arrested for robbery after injuring a Walmart employee during a theft. He knocked down the worker with a cart and fled, then was located across the street and taken into custody. The employee received treatment at Houston Methodist San Jacinto Hospital for arm swelling. Kellog-Frye posted a $20,000 bond and awaits a court date.
