Baytown refinery aims for world record fuel expansion unit
The 1974 report notes Exxon's Baytown Refinery planning a record size for equipment in its fuels expansion. Voters in Harris County Water Control and Improvement District No 1 approved a seven-bond plan starting in 1975. Two counts in 2002 gave Mayor Pete Alfaro a 53 vote lead over Charles Shaffer. Old Navy and other stores had opened on Garth Road, with Kohl’s planned near San Jacinto Mall. St John’s United Methodist Church marked its 95th anniversary one year ago.

Lamar Elementary Hosts Reception for Graduating Seniors
