Carnival planned for kids by Baytown groups
A free day long carnival for families is set for June 12 at Bicentennial Park. More than 15 organizations including Baytown Area Women's Center, Depelchin Children's Center, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Girl Scouts, Humana Hospital Baytown, and the Red Cross will participate. Activities include relay races, face painting, clay modeling, storytelling, vision screenings, and blood pressure checks with refreshments.

More than 442 seniors received diplomas at Robert E. Lee High School Saturday night at Stallworth Stadium with over 152000 dollars in scholarships awarded. Five killed in Texas floods and missing teen
A weekend storm left at least five dead across Texas with a 13 year old missing after a Dun canville Ten Mile Creek surge. A 15 year old escaped as the creek rose to six feet, while four traffic deaths and a woman swept over a San Antonio dam were reported. Weather warnings extended through Dallas, Tarrant and nearby counties as authorities postponed the Capitol statue hoist.
