UIL steroid testing in Texas schools questioned by sports editor
Todd Hveem of The Sun argues the UILs 3,311 high school steroid tests yielded only 9 positives, spending taxpayers money for limited results. He suggests focusing on alcohol and marijuana testing instead, citing fairness, cost, and the broader safety aim for students. He notes 217 schools were tested with 3,087 boys and 224 girls among participants, and predicts such testing may not continue.
