Chase leads to theft arrest after highway pursuit
A chase ended when a vehicle left the road on Harold Lane and struck a fence. Three suspects fled. two were captured in a Harold Street yard and the third nearby. Officers recovered a rifle and stolen property from the vehicle. A male suspect escaped after arriving at the jail area, prompting a second foot chase before recapture. Stolen Goods From Multiple Baytown Vehicles
Police said more than 1300 dollars of stereo equipment and compact discs were taken from a vehicle in the 5100 block of Parsley Tuesday night. Other thefts included CDs from another vehicle in the same block, a radio from a 2900 block West Baker vehicle, a 36 inch Stihl chainsaw from East Hunnicutt, and a golf cart from a 3400 block Shady Hill complex. A resident in the 6900 block of North Main reported computer items and jewelry stolen. The period spanned Tuesday night to Wednesday, with 59 offense reports logged and various incidents including an aggravated robbery and multiple vehicle burglaries. No injuries reported.
