Anheuser Busch Tax Hearing Postponed In Houston
A hearing on Anheuser-Busch tax protest over the I-10 plant in Houston was postponed to two weeks from August 5 before Harris County Commissioners Court. The beer maker argues its larger plant makes its construction cost non comparable for tax value. The current tax value lists 2,372,376 for the building and 4,198,330 for machinery. County officials are represented by County Tax Assessor Collector Carl S. Smith, with the company’s counsel Hugh B. Patterson and Frank G. Harmon.
