Baytown couple marks 66 years since 1938 marriage
High school sweethearts O J and Geraldine Howell celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary at Green Acres of Baytown with administrator Brenda Owen assisting. They moved to Baytown after their Elkhart Texas romance and built long careers. O J worked 44 years at Exxon and supported Baytown Little League, while Geraldine taught in Barbers Hill Cedar Bayou and Goose Creek districts.

Break-in at Mossy Oak Drive Homes Under Construction
Sometime between 3 and 8 am Wednesday two homes under construction in the 100 block of Mossy Oak Drive were broken into through glass rear windows. Among stolen items were two mahogany doors and two gas ovens. Police found fingerprints and blood at the scene. Case under investigation.

She was followed home and coerced into surrendering more than $4,000 in jewelry, household goods, and cash, which were not returned. The suspect is a Hispanic woman, 5 feet tall, 120 pounds, about 39 to 49, with a slim build and short brown hair.
