Crosby Fence Mended: Cows Won’t Run Loose
In Crosby a court session on cows roaming a neighborhood ended abruptly when Judge M M Brown gathered defendants and witnesses. The judge urged neighbors to work together to fix the fence and prevent cows from escaping Bryant’s pasture. Buck testified cows crossed onto Buck’s land, causing damage that Buck settled for $90. Crosing witnesses noted the fence’s effectiveness was debatable and neighbors planned to help build a sturdier fence. An unrelated item notes a Holiday Inn for Mineral Wells planned at U.S. 180 and Rodeo Arena Road with completion targeted next spring.
