Realtors Ready For Battle In Baytown Appraisal Feud
Baytown real estate men plan a 730 pm Monday meeting at the Keystone Realty office to protest Veterans Administration appraisal practices. They accuse the Houston VA office of sidelining three local Baytown appraisers Clyde Davis Clifford Bond or C H Miller and sending Houston appraisers who underprice land and homes. Complaints include land lots selling for 1100 appraised around 900 and housing costs 38000 built on 1000 to 119 lots appraised at 8000 to 8200. They say veterans pay 20 for appraisals by Baytown men but 25 to 35 by Houston appraisers and inspections cost 750 to 10. The protest will be sent to loan guaranty officer RFL Andrews.
