Pat Jacobs shifts focus from football to baseball at Goose Creek Memorial
Goose Creek Memorial star Price Jacobs, the Patriots’ No. 2 quarterback the past two seasons, will not play football this fall to concentrate on baseball. He plans to lead the team in the spring after a playoff run last season and is praised by coach Chris Rupp for his improved junior to senior progression. Jacobs posted a 2-1 record with a 2.77 ERA on the mound as a sophomore and batted .432 with nine RBIs that year.
