A maroon and gold Chevrolet pickup linked to six thefts led to the identification and capture. a BB gun was found where a pistol was thought to be. Flags Ordered At Half-Staff For Korean War Armistice Day
Governor Perry ordered state buildings to fly flags at half staff on Saturday to honor Korean War Armistice Day and the five year commemoration of the war. He noted Texans’ participation, with over 289,000 serving and more than 1,700 Texans killed or missing in action before the 1953 end. A ceremony is planned at the Korean War Memorial in Washington.

Baytown Fixes Two Broken Water Lines After Discolored Water
Baytown residents faced ochre water as two six inch breaks on Ferry Road and at North Jones Street and est Homan Avenue prompted complaints to city hall and public works. Crews repaired the lines by Friday afternoon and flushed hydrants to restore clear water. Gary Smith, city spokesman, said areas would be flushed to remove discoloration and the work was completed by nightfall.
