Pool manager's daughter recalls Roseland years
Mary Jo Brawn Moore of The Woodlands recalls Roseland Park swimming pool days with her father Walter W. Brawn who taught at Robert E. Lee High School and managed the pool in summers. She was among the first swimmers, worked there through early college, saved for Baylor, and later became a teacher. The piece lists coworkers, memories of the concession stand, the locomotive dedication, miniature golf, water skiing, and family careers, ending with Wanda Orton's Sunday column.
