Marsha Hunt and the HUAC Blacklist Story
Marsha Hunt, a prolific actress who appeared in more than fifty films, faced HUAC censorship pressures after joining the Committee for the First Amendment. She traveled to Washington in 1947 with industry peers to protest censorship, and upon returning to Hollywood she refused to renounce the group, leading to a blacklist and loss of roles for eight years.
