District teachers to get pay raise in two percent hike
Baytown teachers will receive a two percent pay increase for more than 900 district employees, not the 3.30 percent minimum requested last spring. Supt. George H. Gentry and Business Manager Robert Sauls say the raise can be funded without raising the overall school tax rate, pending tax value projections and a tentative budget of 14.5 million for 1968-69.
