Class of '57 in Baytown honors radio era DJs at 50th reunion
The Robert E. Lee High School class of 1957 plans a 50 year reunion at South Shore Harbor on Aug 25. Honored guests include Bill Rascal McCaskill, longtime Night Train host and ex-KREL KRCT deejay, and Norman Adams, former Gander football star. Earlier reunions featured Rascal’s Night Train recitals and band trumpet soloist Ervin Hester. Other legends like Freddie Real and Richard Mahan, both KREL deejays, left a lasting mark on the class. Wanda Orton, now retired Baytown Sun editor, notes the enduring impact of radio memories from 1957.
