P&Z backs railroad crossing lighting upgrades in Baytown
Baytown Planning and Zoning Commission voted to install two streetlights at the Hafer and Dyer crossings and one at M. L. King. The move follows a fatal crash involving four teenagers and two injuries at a crossing last week. Council previously ordered temporary stop signs and then approved safety upgrades while Pine Street crossing will be closed for low traffic. The commission also granted plat approvals for two Advanced Auto Parts stores and a five lane easement at Ross S. Sterling High School to connect the parking lot with the new field house.
