Two Men Shot in Baytown Apartment Altercation
In Baytown an altercation in a 1200 block Missouri apartment ended with two men shot. One man suffered five wounds across both legs and the shoulder and was taken to Memorial Hermann. The other man was wounded in the hand and taken to Bayshore Medical Center. Neither injury appeared life threatening. Police believe both shooters acted during the incident.

Baytown Police Reports 3 Percent Rise in Violent Crime
Baytown PD notes an overall 3 percent increase in violent crime in the first six months of the year. Robberies show the sharpest rise, climbing 174 percent from January through June 2013 versus the same period in 2012, rising from 27 to 74 cases. Assistant Chief Roger Clifford says spikes are being addressed as in past efforts.
