Baytown Downtown Parking Seen As Primary Worry
Bill Strickler, co chairman of the Downtown Redevelopment Committee, urged the Baytown Chamber to address downtown parking as the top issue. He outlined a nine block study area from Commerce to Pearce, noting 959 spaces for 52 workers and 107 customer spots, with vacancies and long term leases signaling future trouble. The group highlighted local tax impacts and wages, and plans to present revitalization ideas to the chamber.
