Collision Of Truck And Train Injures Several

A Southern Pacific passenger train collided with an asphalt truck 10 miles east of a Phoenix area station. Eight train crewmen and one passenger were injured, none seriously. Five were taken to Southside Hospital in Mesa and four to Memorial Hospital in Phoenix. Passengers included Rosa Sills of Hordeork Oklahoma.

Subways Collision Blamed on Motormen in Manhattan

At Fulton Street station two Brooklyn-bound express trains collided in a steaming Manhattan tunnel. More than 100 rush hour riders were aboard. many uninjured, several hospitalized for treatment. Police and New York Transit officials ordered motormen suspended pending an investigation.
