Lakewood Church to Move Into Former Compaq Center
Lakewood Church led by Joel Osteen expands into the former Compaq Center, home to the Rockets and Comets, creating a 16,000-seat Central Campus with parking for 8,000. The move trims weekend English services from four to three while maintaining a weekly Spanish service. Critics note Osteen’s stance on repentance.
