Baytown woman dies in Alabama crash on birthday trip
Vanessa Morales of Baytown died Friday in a Mobile Alabama traffic accident while en route to Destin Florida for her birthday. A Lee High School graduate, she earned journalism degrees at Lee College and the University of Houston and worked for Telemundo. Friends say she volunteered at nursing homes Red Cross and at Texas Children's Hospital, always seeking new causes. Her twin sister Yessenia recalled their lifelong volunteerism and Morales planned a different birthday by supporting various organizations through a Birthday for a Cause program.
