Funeral services for Jasper Turner 29 of Anahuac were held at First Baptist Church. Turner died Saturday night in a tearcar crash on the Fannett Highway near Beaumont. Also killed were Jamce Marshall Jr 7 and Frank Gonzalez 18 of Beaumont. Burial was in Anahuac Cemetery. Turner was a rice farmer and Anahuac High School graduate. He was born September 5 1980. Survivors include his widow Shirley Turner and four children, his parents, his grandparents, three sisters and four brothers.

Two Dead In Baytown July Fourth Collision
A noon collision at Wallisville and Crosby Cedar Bayou Road killed Neil Burnside 43 and Charlie Kovalcik 27 and seriously injured a three year old girl. Shirley Kovalcik, wife of Charlie, is hospitalized. Burnside, a Baytown rancher and Rice farmer, was an Air Force veteran and former Harris County official. Kovalcik, a Crosby resident, worked for Brown and Root and belonged to local clubs. Interment for Burnside was planned at Memory Gardens Baytown. Kovalcik burial at town Cemetery.
