Mont Belvieu Plan Committee Reviews Growth Impacts
Mont Belvieu planners say the city is growing faster than Houston and Texas, with a 76 percent household increase in the 2000s. The plan seeks retail development and neighborhood buffering while residents raise concerns about big-box stores, apartment saturation, and traffic along FM 3180 and Grand Parkway. City officials invite public comment on drafts at City Hall or online, with final plan approval expected in late 2016.
